Around sunset last night all the alarms on my phone and weather radio went off. Tornado warnings in the area. I watched a wall cloud come in from the West...it was too dark to get a decent pic of it. Sat on the porch until the wind came up and the rain was blowing over the porch..
We grabbed Martha and settled in for the rest of it....The worst of it went South of us. We ended up with another inch of rain and a few small branches down...
Once it all blew by, I headed out and tried to take a few lightning pics....

I remember big 'ol midwest thunderstorms. Both scary and cool.
Now those are some really cool pictures. You should have been a professional photographer. Ever post, the pictures seem to get more and more amazing.
Now THAT would cut into my fishin'..........a little bit. 😎
Yup, that's a big storm alright. It's good that you missed the more serious stuff.
Great pictures by the way.
Little village of Baring MO was mostly destroyed. Senior citizen/low income housing unit roofless and/or collapsed. Looks like maybe USPS brick building seriously damaged. Many houses damaged. Storage containers in the RxR siding/maintenance yard rolled around like tumbleweeds. Haven't heard or seen reports from the large grain storage just outside town.
You definitely take some fantastic pics, @William81 and those are some of your best, I say.

I have not heard about that......Hope all goes well for them...
Thanks for the kind comments...... You all can do the same, all you have to do is go outside in a storm and mess with settings until you get it right.. If you don't blow away or get hit by lightening, you have a shot at a decent pic or two. It may take150 to 200 shots to get one you like.
But I enjoy the challenge
