,,,,,,,,, to fire the furnace’s to make steel. And CF&I had coke ‘beehives’ in multiple locations in Colorado, here’s a few with many more out of sight behind. And we bought coke to fire our forges when forge welding.

I seen some of them along railroad tracks in Oklahoma. I seen them before they all caved in. The train tracks also went to coal mines and those were located along the tracks not far from the coal mine. Most are caved in now and the steel tracks gone. People have no idea today when they see the remains.
Also in Nevada.
I used to see them when I was a kid along Route 52 between Bluefield and Welck, WV.
Maybe used to be some west of Helena MT?? Long time since I was there.
There are also some in Tennessee around Coalmont.

For those in the know - I thought that Coke was formed in an airless environment. If so, how did they seal up those ovens? Bob
Might have to ask Hunter this question.
Might be some of those coke Bee Hive caverns in the White House. (the security cameras would not be pointed at them due to probably being classified top secret)
Brandon would not know because he does not know anything about what Hunter does or his activities.
All I can add or say to seeing these pictures is that I have found the perfect place to spend eternity. A perfect tomb!

I have to travel to Delaware to buy my "Coke". They cannot not sell it in NJ. The guy I get it from, said it comes from a "vain" in WV. The first time I ever used it, I didn't realize how much it smoked, when first lit!!! My wife thought I caught the garage on fire!!!!!!! I was burning it out behind the garage, in my home made forge.
Steam, noxious gases, 2000° heat, bricks and mud.... Ahh no, not my dream job. Bob
