Beer survey

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer. -- Frank Zappa
Did you have a beer this evening in support of America? I did.

Nope and never will.
No problem. Just go and nuke an enemy, though. To show you care. 😁

A quote from Frank Zappa. “Is that a real poncho, or is that a Sear poncho?
I miss the old eccentrics.
Some seriously weird stuff from Zappa. Most of which cannot be re-printed here.
But...about that beer........

There was a time I had a beer or thirty at night. Been several years since that time. Don
I hope you paid cash for it & it wasn’t a Bud Light.
Kevin_L, I've done my part for 65 years.
More than one....
Have a beer you say tonight? Not sure I understand the question, I have several everyday. Is that not normal thing to do?
Very normal. And delicious.

When way younger like 18to 20 I drank to be social and basic get drunk
But the last 45 yrs or so I drink maybe a 6 pack to a 24 pack Ina a years time
My departed brother drank 10x more than enough to make up my share
I get it. I'll occasionally have a couple of beers because I like the taste. I keep it sane, though. Never wasted. Just occasionally buzzed.
I think the writer, Dave Barry, summed up beer perfectly: “Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza."

No. I avoid American beers for the most part anyway.
I did have German wine.
Genessee cream ale.
For years and years I had a beer with my Friday night pizza. Then a few weeks ago my wife said that she could not find any more Michelob amber bock at Krogers or wally world.
So I quit drinking beer. I know it's sacrilegious, oh well.

I'm not an everyday beer drinker. A sixer will last me two months. Been drinking a bit more lately, just because beer is so much in the news, maybe. I like real beer, not any of that "Light" stuff. There's a place for it, I suppose, such as after mowing the lawn. But if I want to have taste and beer body, no. Very few American beers fit that description. PBR and Shiner are my choices for USA brews. Lately, I've had some Canadian and German lagers, which are very good. A couple of Mexican beers are just fine, too.
Yes, I am avoiding anything from under the AB umbrella as much as possible. Those tentacles run long, though.
Last beer I drank was a Miller light, don’t drink beer every day. Never did like Budweiser, always gave me a headache.
They have it at Publix....or did last time I checked!
I used to love a beer or two at the Mexican place I went to regularly with my aunt. She loves margaritas....the mixer is just too much for me, so I'd get a shot of Patrone and a beer. Doseqi Amber (however you spell it) was my "go to" there. I'm on a silly keto thing and can't have beer......but I can have White Claw. All I need is to cut my jeans off, get a straw hat and I'd fit in with the 30-something local gals I see posting on FB.....posting about how much they "made" at their yard sale and what flavor is their fav.
Make it your new forum picture. 😂

Shiner Bock for me.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Can't claim to be a non-drinker, as I average 2 to 4 beers a year.....
Many, many moons ago I drank Strohs beer in returnable 16 oz bottles. IIRC it was about $8.00 a case of 24. I recently found Strohs beer at a local carry out and just had to buy a 18 pack for old times sake. I actually like it!
German wine? Well lah-te-dah, look at Mr. Fancy Pants over here!
(Insert laughing emoji here)
Never cared for Bud, especially "Lite". Always made me wonder how the Clydesdales were doing. 🙄
Heineken is my preferred brand but two or three a year is plenty.
In my younger days I was democratic as to my choices. Longterm I settled on natural light . Quit that 25 years ago . Cannot say I miss it at all
I hate beer, but love Bourbon. Will be having a snort, as soon as my son stops by tonight.
We have many local employee owned mini-brews. The better ones won't sell out of state. A side from them I enjoy Modela.
I partook in a few.
Pulsarnc, I'm with you on Natural Light. The only reason is that decades ago my teen son hated it. I didn't have to worry about him stealing it. I might add that this is the same son back then that stole the motor off of my tiller to buy cigs & beer. My wife thinks I drink too many beers. I tell her that every beer I drink is one less that the youth of America can have.
Well yeah! Got it at Trader Joe for $6.99 so you know it is top of the line. Just so you know I am posh, I also favor an Italian Pino Grigio at $5.99. Pretty much the investment stuff.
miller high life, hadn't had one in years, then after the bud lite fiasco I bought a twelve pack of bottles not bad at all and at less than half the price I will keep drinking it. $8.99 a twelve compared to $17.99 a twelve for michelobe ultra............
Miller is fine. Just keep those clear bottles out of sunlight.
Trivia: France sued Miller for using the phrase "Champagne of Bottle Beers" because the word champagne can't be used for any beverage made outside that specific region of France.
I've cut back on my drinking. Went from every night after work to a couple drinks a week.
What's different? I quit working.
I have been enjoying Busch Light Peach lately either on the boat / lake or while off roading in my Jeep. And no I haven't felt like putting on a dress.
austin, it may well have been cases destroyed, not sued. It was a while back and I only skimmed the article.
When I bought the 1st 12 pack of Busch Light Peach, I told the older gal working the register at the local Liquor store, don't tell anyone I'm buying a Budweiser product. She laughed as said that Boycott only lasted a week out here. Drinkers are gonna drink what they like to drink.
Can't beat a Dos Equis.
Yuengling black and tan or lager. Only because I had to cut back on bourbon
I gave up the hard stuff way back in my early 20's. I won't talk about a few of those experiences but will say that I found it very logical not to consume anything that is flammable!! 😁
PBR was my favored beer for many years. Changed to Miller High Life for a few more and then decided that if I wanted to continue my daily beer loving lifestyle I needed to switch to a light product. I enjoyed Hamm's Special Light until it was no longer available here. Then to Bud Light until the boycott. Now I'll have a Coors Light please!
I do the majority of the grocery shopping for our family . As a result I am I am in the food lion a couple of times a week.. They have actually cut back the amount of cooler space allocated to the Bud products . Watching the 5 o clock Friday crowds tells the tale.
That's a brand I haven't heard of in a long time! Can't get it here in Colorado.
