Got some range time in this morning

Mr. PerfectMr. Perfect Member, Moderator Posts: 66,381 ******

It's been a minute since I've had a minute to do any shooting.

I ran a couple new guns: a 10 mm Glock 29 and a 9 mm Glock 48. I also shot my SIG 365x

Man, I really like that 29. Fits very well in my hand is very controllable. I shot it pretty well, but the winner of this round was the Glock 48. Man, that thing is easy to shoot accurately.

Some will die in hot pursuit
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain

It really gets the adrenaline flowing, when you finally get back on the range. We all get so busy living, we forget to just stop and go do what we love. Sometimes I won't go shooting for a few months, then a friend will call and boom, back out there. Then I find myself reloading , playing with the chronograph and dusting off some old friends in the back of the safe to play with. Glad you got to go enjoy yourself today Mr.P. Next time, post some pics for us. 😊

Does your G29 bite you when changing mags? I had a G30SF and pinched my shooting hand pinky finger every time I changed mags with it. I'd like to pick up a G20 but may sell some handguns I rarely shoot to do so.

You might try a couple 15rd Palmetto State Armory Micro Dagger mags in your G48. I have a pair of them for my G43X. Mine work just fine however there have been some complaints with them recently. I disassemble my 2 and found some plastic flashing near the mag catch inside the magazine body.

I also have 5 Shield Arms 15rd mags plus the Shield Arms metal mag release for my G43X. Two the of 15rd SA mags I converted to 20rd mags using Taran Tactical +5 mag bases. Mine work great. Others I've read have had issues with them.

The PSA MD mags are the 2 on the bottom left of this pic:

I hate to say but my G43X has replaced my G19 and G26. It shoots just as well if not better.

I wish Glock would put out a single stack 10mm in this frame size. I would buy one in a heartbeat.

Sorry for the late reply drobs.

So, with regard to the mag bite. No, I don't really have that issue because with my 30 it happened a couple times and I learned how to avoid it. This, I guess, would bite the same but I guess I have just learned how to avoid it happening, so I haven't experienced it. I have an extended floor plate that I am running on it that puts it at 12 rounds.

In my 48 I am running the 15 round Shield Arms mags and I love them. A lot.
