Republican Presidential debate tonight. Who will crash and burn and who will shoot up in the polls?
Mods, I would like to know what the average person here on the GB forums thinks will be results of this first debate so please don't move this to politics.

My pick for one potential winner tonight would be Tim Scott from here in sunny South Carolina.
Another pick for a winning performance would be DeSantas.
A possible pick for a crash and burn performance could be Pence.
It will be interesting watching the press coverage tomorrow. My guess the more the press talks about how bad someone did the better that person did. We will see!!!!

Pence lost my support forever when he said Ukraine was more important than American cities. I was a fan but didn’t realize he was a swampy globalist.
Scott is poised for a bump if he performs well.
Tim Scott should do well for himself. Let's face it, this is Trump's race to lose. Nobody will get ahead of him and some of these lesser knowns, are wasting their time and money. Trump will face either Moochelle Obama or Biden. I'm leaning towards Moochelle vs Trump and it will be rigged for her/him, Moochelle/Micheal Obama. Our political system is so corrupt and evil, that even God doesn't stand a chance against these liberal hacks.
It will be a Trump/Scott ticket come next fall. I'm calling it right now.
Our TV isn't hooked up to cable.... But if Trump was in this one tonight I would be on my way to Uncle Ralph's to watch. Trump won my heart in the debate against Hillary.

Agree with that! The first one to try and cut down someone else might as well drop out before the commercial break. The Republican Party needs some unity and focus on America. Get out there and lead! Stand up for something bigger than a lobbyist’s handout!

The debate will ruffle feathers, that’s a given, after all their politicians. I’m wanting to hear facts and how they will carry out their so called promises. As far as Ukraine, I don’t want to hear how we will keep supporting them. I want to hear how we will start replenishing are munitions that we keep sending them. As far as the boarder, I don’t want hear how we will approach the problem. I want to hear how soon we can close the border, and if need be we will use the military to enforce policy.
Trump showed use that being conservative and self reliant is the path to success as a country. I’m looking for someone that will follow that path, and not worry whether it’s his idea or not.
Hopefully Christy & Hutchison will go away never to be heard from again.

Pence can go. And he can take Christie with him. If either one of them got the nomination, I’d probably have to abstain from voting in 2024.
Vivek is the darling right now. He can ride that horse for a while but needs to stay on message and not stoop to the Pence and Christie level.
De Santis was OK and so was Haley. But just OK. Scott played the hard life card too often.

Still undecided here. Swany is the great Orator but can he walk the talk? Republicans need to come up with something better if that is possible at this stage or I will be forced to vote for Trump a third time. That is if he should be nominated. I think it's too late to come up with better options. Conservatives had 4 years to come up with a platform, a foundation that would benefit America. Instead, they followed the libs lead and fought the libs on superficial issues that did little more than get their names trending on Twitter.
The upcoming election is gonna be close even with a senile old coot as the Conservative opponent. Trump is too polarizing. DeSantis doesn't have the charisma. Swampy is too new. None of the others have the backing or experience to make a national impact.
That said, I'll never vote democrat. There's no way I'll ever vote for the party that has treated America the way a baby treats a diaper.
