It's not the procedure, it's that damned prep that makes it such a nightmare.
And Colonoscopy could easily be added to the "Most embarrassing moment" thread as a standard.
Just had one two weeks ago......... the prep is the worst part. Good news for me was all clear, no need for another one for 10 years.
Definitely the worst part.
Chug this nasty liquid and make sure you're near the toilet where you'll spend the next hour or more.

I never had a colonoscopy, I pooped in a box. Don
I got mine scheduled for next Friday. Whoohoo. This time I'm taking the pill. Not drinking that stuff again, that taste like what is about to come out!!!!!!!!!!!!π«.
The funny thing is the product prescribed for me was called "Go Lightly" π€¨
Talk about false advertising π²
Should be called βGoβ¦RIGHT NOW!!!!β

The last one I had the doctor mentioned how clean I was. What do I say - thank you? π€£
No problem, I could eat jello and drink beef bullyun soup. Didn't have to fast like in the old days.
When they tell you to stay close to the toilet they mean it .15 feet away is too far away. Guess how I know .
I recently went for my first annual physical since my losing battle with my colon 7 years ago.
My last GP retired 6+ years ago, and the wife thought it a good idea I go and get checked out.
Young kid for the new GP. Fairly certain he will be practicing long after I am done.
He was going through his checklist at the end of the exam and said he would schedule me for a colonoscopy.
I said that would be fine, but I have no idea where it is.
Got a blank look for a second, and then a sheepish grin followed by an 'I deserved that'.
I'll think I'll stick with him.

We must have the same Doctor π, I have no problems doing a #2 so I always refuse to have one but will agree to dumping in something like a small minnow bucket in the privacy of my home and then Fed-Ex'ing it to some lab in Ohio. The results always come back negative π
