Is Bulk Ammo Safe

I see auctions for 500 and 1000 rounds of "range grade" ammo. Are these rounds reliable, safe? I've seen reports of people who purchased inexpensive ammo and rounds exploded in the gun damaging the gun and the person's hand.

Rimfire, pistol or rifle ammo? Do your homework and see who manufactured the ammo, also read the sellers reviews. Message the seller for more info if you need to.
Funny you should post this. ((((Last night I found 1,000 rounds of 22-250 made by Hornady for 200 dollars and free shipping on sale. It is the 55 grain Vmax bullet for varmint)))) ((IT WAS A SCAM SITE. SORRY. READ MY POST FURTER DOWN))). This is exactly what I have been shooting in the past. I have ordered bulk ammo a few times over the years and always got great ammo. Same stuff you buy in the store. The only "JUNK" bulk ammo I ever bought was, Winchester white box ammo. Half of it was either dented cases or the bullet was unseated or bent. Winchester replaced it, plus sent me an extra four boxes. This ammo was also 22-250.
Like what Todd said, do your homework, and see who manufactures the cases, bullets, ect.
Now when you say Range grade, I think you mean fragmented ammo. You have to read the entire label on the box or ad. Somewhere in there, it will say Fragmented on the box. The ad will say range ammo. Yup, you get what you pay for. It will go ping and yup, you will probably have some misfires.
It's as trustworthy as Liberty Safe.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
"Bulk" ammo saves the cost of boxing individual rounds. Given same manufacturer, there should not be significant difference between boxed and bulk.
1,000 ROUNDS of v- max for $200 !!! Where in the heck 👁️⬆️
After doing my research, I found out it was a scam . The company is called, Premium weapon house. Even I found it to be too good of a deal. I called their number and it said leave a message on their goggle number. WTH. I looked the company up and it looked legit. The I found some reviews and found it to be a scam. Figures. I did order some from another place for 450.00 for 1,000 rounds though. Still a good deal.
Bulk FACTORY ammo is fine it saves money. Bulk reloaded or remanufactured ammo MAY be okay but the loader determines the quality. There are several sellers of remanufactured ammo on the auction side that are reputable and make a great product that saves you a lot of money.
Start reloading and you will not save money but you will shoot a LOT more for the same money.
