Cranberry season

In South Jersey. They are flooding the bogs and beginning their harvest at Ocean Spray. In a couple of weeks is our local Cranberry festival. Hundreds of vendors selling everything from hunting and fishing stuff, to all types of Cranberry products, crafts and lots of fun. Looking forward to the fall months here. This picture my wife took today, at one of the Ocean spray bogs, of Cranberries, around us. We are literally surrounded buy over 50 miles of Cranberry and blueberry farms where we live. Taking a ride on the motorcycle tomorrow, to see the beautiful farms in full harvest. Oak

I was suprised to see all the cranberry bogs in Wisconsin
Got 'em here too.
I like them too, but not sure I want them quite that often😃
We have one here, not too far away. (15 mi.) Up in Shady Valley on 421 "The Snake," as it goes over Shady Mtn from our town (Mtn City,TN) to Bristol TN/VA. One of the Best Motorcycle rides in the Country. Phenomenal scenery.
They hold a "Cranberry festival" there as well.
Where I lived in extreme NW Jersey on Greenwood Lake, NY/NJ was beautiful as well. If someone blindfolded you and let you out there, you would never guess you were in that location.
I owned a 800sq ft 1947 Chestnut log cabin on the lake, with Bearfort Mtn and the AT right behind my house. (After I got divorced.) Stayed up there to be a Dad to my Son. Moved down South after he turned 18.
Extreme NE TN/W NC ya'll. 😁
A guy I worked with was raised in the coal fields of West Virginia. He told us when school let out for summer, busses would come and pick up kids and take them up North to work in the cranberry fields. They stayed in barracks and came home when the work was over.
This would have been in the '60's.
Not that much water in all NM, even fewer cranberries.
Wisconsin is the largest supplier of cranberries in the world!
Wow, never would have thought that.
Yea, I thought it was Kroger. Don
jimmyjack-That is next to cheese😆
Yup, they are. I think NJ is either 2nd or 3rd largest.
I never developed a taste for cranberrys but did kind of like........
