Doesn't stop anyone from walking off with it and breaking the lock at their convenience. Just a more complicated trigger lock.
And I was gonna get you one for Christmas, Joe. Oh well….

Agree with Joe: a big NO.
A device this complicated to replace a simple spring and follower could have a malfunction at the worse possible time.
Whats the difference between that and just taking the mag out of the gun?
Whoever came up with this contraption more than likely was a government employee.
That was my first thought as well. It's a nonstarter as I don't see any use for it at all.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche

When I cannot take it with me to a federal building or whatever, I lock it in a heavy steel box screwed to the floor of my truck in an out of sight location. It will defeat a smash and grab guy, not a truck thief.
Looks like there's 2 versions of it. The mag version you could carry loaded and use like any other mag. Lock it when you need to throw in glovebox, hotel room, gym bag, or anytime you're away from your gun.
No different than one of those cable locks that go through the barrel, chamber and out the ejection port, or through the magazine well and out the ejection port. And the cable lock is probably a lot cheaper.
