I have had a bad, I mean really bad, headache for about two months now. I went for a CT scan last monday. My neurologist informed me this afternoon, that I have a small tumour pressing on my brain, on the left side. They are going to treat it with meds, as it is fairly small. This is what has been causing my headaches. He gave me a med dose pack of prednisone today, to try to give me some relief. It is so hard to concentrate on anything right now. If I lay down, I feel better. As soon as I stand up, the pressure starts immediately. My son and my mother had the same thing. I'm wondering if it is hereditary or something??? The tumour is about the size of a marble he said. If it was bigger, he would be worried, but he said it is a common type tumour and nothing to worry about, unless it gets bigger. Oakie

Dang, Oakie! That doesn't sound good at all. Sure hope they can treat it as easily as the doc seems to think.
He didn't seem worried. Made me feel better about it. I hope these meds work. Going back for a check up next month to see if it shrunk any.

Well, that's good. I guess on the bright side if someone tells you you're losing your marbles you can point to that spot in your head and say, "Nope! Doc says it's right here!"

Sure glad to hear this can be treated with meds, Oakie. Having your noggin cut into would be terrifying.
