Another big ammo run coming

Just an FYI. I was told by one of my sales reps on Thursday that ammo was flying out again but he didn't know why other than possibly the Israeli war.
Now Winchester/Lake City cut off all commercial sales again.
There was an explosion at the Hornady plant that has them offline now as well.
I've heard other rumors but won't exactly repeat them until they are actually announced by manufacturers.
This sucks because it was just about back to normal and the prices were started to come back to normal.
I didn't link any articles but you can Google them if you wish.

Thanks for the heads up.
Never got anywhere close to restocked here from the last time.
My fav gunshop had a run on 9mm and 223 Friday the supposed day of carnage. Sold over 300 boxes of each.
per the gun youtubers posting I have heard
our wonderful government 😕 has pledged all the ammo to go to the current wars we are supporting.
the plant owned by the government ( lake city ) has the right to sell excess to the public but now that's been stopped due to demand. so here we go again.
I got 3 cases of green tip ,bidenomics told me to
I guess it's time to clean up my reloading bench.
Joe
I would donate all my ammo if it would kill one Hamas.
Just moved 33 cases of 12 GA in the garage out of the way for getting out the cyclone rake. Won't need them until spring if I have to loan them to the high school skeet team, replaced when their order comes in late sometimes, or our next fall cancer shoot. Being old, fat and lazy makes me aware of how much fun bending over and moving that ammo can be. Bob
Ya know, you could buy or build a wheeled cart to put that stuff on.
Something like this, perhaps;
We're pretty well set for ammo here. We buy a bit here and there when things are flush so we can weather the down times like this. We make larger purchases of Federal Gold Medal .308 Winchester so we can have lots of it with the same batch number to feed my wife's precision gun. Other than that, a bit here and a bit there adds up pretty quick.
Sure hope this Middle East stuff and the Ukrainian mess gets over with quickly and doesn't expand.
Prices have never come down here. I can only imagine what it will be with another shortage.
On the auction side, primer prices have come down some. Time to re-stock.
Other than being a little light on the Weatherby stuff I'm well supplied and that is always expensive.
Sig Sauer is building a mega ammo & primer plant in Arkansas. They have the frame complete on one of the buildings and will hire 650 people. Fiocchi is also building a giant ammo & primer plant on a 281 acre plot near the Arkansas river in North Little Rock.
It may be another year before the plants are operational but with the most modern & computerized equipment, the primer situation will abate.
I for one refuse to pay $100 for small rifle primers when I can buy 1000 rounds of 9mm for $220. Ammo prices are dropping considerably.
As for primers, I learned under the Clinton Error, hoarding is your friend.
Well you better stock up on TP, too.
Still have a hard time finding 20 gauge. Seems to be more 16 and 28 than 20.
