Sure!
Yep, sure do.
I've seen them perform on two occasions over the years at local County Fairs. Beautiful horses and beautiful memories!
I took my oldest son when he was a little feller to watch them. It was awesome horsemanship and beautiful horses
What does the word "Lipizzaner" mean anyway?
Ah yes, I too have watched "Crimson Tide".
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
They first came to my attention with the Disney movie about their rescue from the nazis in ww2 by the US army .Always wanted to see them in person one day . Maybe they will come close by on tour sometime .
Never heard of them till now. Grew up with the Clydesdales at Grants farm and performing at events at the Arena in St. Louis
Yup me too. On there I learnt the horses were born black. I recall seeing ads on tv when they were coming to near by city back in '80s? Other than seeing them being mentioned in the movie "Crimson Tide" was like the last time. Didn't even know they were still out and about doing their thing.
sure do at one time the commercials for them coming to town never ended.😂
Anyone else remember the angry beavers episode when one of the beavers wanted to be one.
I saw that Angry Beavers episode but don't remember if it was Norbert or Daggett that wanted to be a Lipizzaner.
From Lipizza, the Spanish riding school in Austria. "Lipizzaner" is a breed of horse that refers to a white or grey horse, that can be born about any horse color, but turn white or grey as they mature. General Patton had 200 mares rescued by a Montana cowboy under his command, before the Russians could get them. I saw them perform at the Cow Palace many years ago. Impressive to see a 1300lb horse jump straight up like a cat.
I saw them about 15 years ago. Beautiful
