Chat GPT

So, a little background. I finally got tired of the text messaging app I was using on my phone. I had used Verizon's Message+ app and loved many of the features it had. A couple years ago, I switched to AT&T and liked that old app enough that I installed it on my phone and kept using it. Fast forward to today and it's been about a year of headache with it as their updates have removed feature after feature.

So, I finally installed Next SMS by Handcent. This thing is amazing in what it can do. It came with an option to chat with Chat GPT by sending text messages. So I tried it out.

I was chatting with Chat GPT today and am finding it to be less than worthless. It gives biased responses based on how you frame your question. It leaves out critical information necessary to form valid opinions. It does not keep track of its own responses so you can catch it lying by asking the same question another way. This thing is super dumb potentially bordering on evil.

Anyone have experience with Chat GPT? What did you think?

Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain

Not me - you lost me at texting. I think maybe the new flip phone AT&T gave me when the old one became obsolete a couple of years ago has the ability, but I never tried and rarely carry the phone. I don't have a need to " stay connected" I guess. As for Chat GPT, does it keep track somewhere about the inquiries made? If so, who has access to that information? Bob

"Chat GPT" is nothing but machine learning. This type of "bot" has been around for a while, just not as easy to access as it is now. You are 100% correct in thinking that your answer will depend on the question. All in all, getting "information" from it is not so great.

It does make some pretty interesting pictures though, when you tell it to draw something.

    I'm not impressed overall.

Lots of the younger generation rely on ChatGPT for all their info. It's crazy how people will presume they are talking to an actual intelligent being when they're doing nothing more than helping to seed a biased computer system with information. And yes...you are absolutely, unequivocally being tracked when you use ChatGPT.

Imagine a state run agenda seeding ChatGPT with it's own biases and it's own agendas.

Now imagine an election in 2024.

    Scared yet? You should be.

Chat GPT does have a place if you think of it as AOL in the early 90’s.

I am seeing resumes I’m certain we’re written by Chat GPT, “chat GPT” update my resume to align with this job reqs basic skills…”

I haven’t interviewed any of the idd buzzword resumes but they’re out there.

Buzzwords that don’t quite fit correctly but will help the applicant get past the ATS.

Definitely seen a few for sale ads for exotic cars.

There is another called ChessGPT which is pretty cool. Obviously for chess.

Say my son wants to learn to play against the London System-

”ChessGPT, play the London System at an 800 Elo rating level”.

Kid can perfect his Sicilian defense in short order. & then come kick my butt. I think that’s at least interesting.

I just want consistency. Don is consistent. And I like that. And I like Don.
