Darn Post office.

They lost my money order for the 256 win mag I bought. I overnighted the check and it never got there and wasn't cashed. The seller has been excellent about it. Today, I put a stop payment on the check, got another one, and mailed it off to him. I also sent him pictures of both checks and dates mailed, along with the stop payment from the bank. The seller told me to stop stressing and when the check get there, he will let me know. Guy has the patient of a saint. I went to the post office and asked how I can get refunded the 30 bucks for having to stop payment over the lost check. They girl literally laughed. Not happening. You have to prove we lost it. She said, Maybe the guy got the check and lost it. Maybe you lost it. What an a hole. From now on, I will spend the money and send it fedex or UPS. It wasn't her fault, but she could have been a little more respectful. Going back Monday, to talk to her manager. Oak

Hmm. On the other side of the coin...

if only you used the new CC only pay policy, that no one is yet liking, you'd be shootin your new gun.

    Good luck.

It seems she did make some valid points.

When I get something in the mail from fleabay, the mailman scans the barcode and I get an email that I received it. Went to the box and it wasn't there. mailman scanned it at his truck and never put it in the mailbox. I waited the next day and it never showed, lost $12 item.

Oakie i think you would have a better chance of getting a refund on the overnight mail fee that never arrived. good luck.

Not to hijack, but MO mailed to me certified, 21 days. Smith and Wesson mag mailed to buyer 14 days and still "lost." In one week, YEA, I feel the pain and hope yours gets there. SOON.

I ran back up after this post , because I left my reading glasses on a table😒. While I was there, I got to speak to a manager. I didn't bother mentioning the ladies attitude , but was more interested in finding what the heck happened. I never had this happened before and was getting embarrassed about the seller not getting his money. She did run a check on the tracking number. It starts as letter has tracking number. Like porky pig said, That's all folks!! She walked back and looked for the check. Not there, but she said it could be anywhere in the building. She agrees that it is their fault and gives me the money back for the new overnight charges. Looks like one thing finally went right!!! This lady was very nice, respectful and helpful. Now I'm glad I didn't complain about the other girl. Bob, I can honestly say that, Knowing the way these young entitled kids are today, I shouldn't have been surprised she didn't want to help me. She had that, "City Folk swagger", if you know what I'm saying.

Joe, Don't know anything about the pay policy . The guy asked to be paid a certain way, and that is what he got. I will have to look into the policy, But I try not to use a CC for anything, but emergencies. Thanks for the info though. Oak

Glad it worked out. It seems every place I go has problems with less than ideal employees nowadays. I suppose it has something to do with having a labor shortage and not being able to pick the best candidate to hire. They have to take what they can get. My post office is in a small village and when they get help transferred in from one of the cities you can tell the difference in attitude and job performance. I think part of it is the stuff they had to put up with from those city customers and usually they adjust and become more pleasant and helpful after they have been here a while. Bob

Thank god we don't have the death penalty here in NJ, or our prisons would be lined with death row inmates, from murdering DMV employees. I think they take a class in B Breaking, before they are allowed to work at the counter!!! BUT, if you are an illegal....... Here is your dl and have a nice day.

I downloaded USPS Informed Delivery, get a daily email showing pictures of everything except magazines and advertisements. PO lost my bank statement a couple of months ago, never found it either. Didn't do any good to complain!

Damn... I guess the only way they know they will lose their job is death. They didn't even bother to pretend to be human.
