The next time you hear someone say "2A was never about throwing off our own tyrannical government"... um yes it was. They meant exactly that.
Some will die in hot pursuit
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain

Wow, somehow in the daily struggle I missed this post.
Yes, Mr. P Is exactly correct. Contrary to what Slick Willy said, the Second has nothing to do with duck hunting. It is really not even directed at protecting yourself from the goblins running around the streets. That is/was at the time of writing the constitution a given. It is all about throwing a halter on an over reaching government. For some reason most people seem to start gittin' all nervous when that fact is brought up.....
Yep. If it makes a person nervous, they're probably part of the problem that needs to be solved.

"Those who believe the Government is there to help/protect them, do not own Firearms."
Oh a lot of them do but they're the ones who say "I believe in the second amendment........BUT......."
I think you would be sadly disappointed.
