Friendship anniversary

Tonight we had our annual Friendship reunion/anniversary. Every year, about ten couples that grew up together, get together at one of the couples houses, and celebrate our lifelong friendship. We started this about ten years ago, because we got tired of only seeing each other at funerals or weddings. We may not see each other all year long, or talk that often, because of our busy lives, but we take one night each year, to forget everything and just hang out and reminisce. Tonight was really wonderful. We had a cocktail party and dinner, with deserts and a nice outdoor fire. Next year is our turn to host. We are going to have a crab and clam bake, along with a game of wiffle ball. We also discussed about taking a trip together, to Key West for four days. I think that might be hard to schedule, but we will all be retired by then, so it might just work out.

It is so nice that we can still get together, before it is too late for regrets. I love these folks and it sure makes my year, to have this reunion. We all get along and laughed our butts off. Glad our wives don't know some of the backstories, we were talking about. 😉🤣. Just harmless fun and stupid stuff we did as teenagers. Oakie

We have been playing wiffle ball since we were kids.. I threw the idea out there a few years ago, and one guy showed up with a new wiffle ball set. !!!!!! Some of us still have it, and some of us are showing our age. It sure is fun to be a kid again, if only for an hour or two. 😉😀

Dad had his yacht tied up at Key West for a couple of years. We flew down there to spend a little time with them. It was fun, but it was good to get back home too.

We landed at Miami but my luggage didn't. I went to Lost and Found, but it was not there. The old woman told me it should be on the next flight out of Dayton Ohio. I told her "no it should have been on the same flight I was on". It did turn up the next day.

    Cool-

If I may make a suggestion, Key West has become a really big partying spot.

We have been spending about 8-10 days a year staying in Marathon Key.

You can get into Key West for a day in 45 minutes for all the fun stuff, but when you want peace and quiet Marathon or Baha’i Honda State park are perfect.

    Here’s a sunset at Baha’i Honda.

2nd pic is a rental place a few years ago on Marathon.
