I was shocked to see that it was in better condition than described!!!! I put some glass on her and put her in the safe. The only thing I questioned was, He sent it wrapped in just a small piece of bubble wrap. Surprised it wasn't damaged. No box or case or safe shipping at all. Just real happy it wasn't damaged or scratched. The stock is what got me. It is beautiful with just one small scuff, that you can't really notice. The blueing is 99.%. Very pleased to say the least. Wooo Hooo, congrats
Congrats! You sir have impeccable taste in firearms. However, your taste in scopes does need a bit refining.
A cheap Chi-Com Simmons on that Marlin!

Oakie.........I'm with Bob on this one.....
I'm thinking a nice older 6 power Lyman in a set of two-piece steel Leupold mounts and rings.
Nice rifle...........that deserves the "good stuff".👍😉
congrats on a very nice looking rifle.
I thought an old K-4 Weaver, but yeah...

Sure is a purty one, Oakie! Let us know how she shoots!
I like the k4 with a post and cross hair reticle that I have on that rifles brother in 30 carbine. However I did scope it 30 years ago.
I'm looking for an older redfield/widefield scope. I have one laying around, but can't seem to find the darn thing. If I can't find it in all these boxes, I'm just gonna go buy another one. It might be up in the mountains too. I got a lot of stuff up there that I always forget about.
