my fed-ex rant

Ditch-RunnerDitch-Runner Member Posts: 25,218 ✭✭✭✭

a few days ago I ordered a bunch of cat food made two orders with in a couple hours as the price was good so went back and ordered more

so we got the normal follow up you package is due Monday on the first order

great . well it was delivered sadly about two hundred miles as far north as possible here in Ohio from us

fed-ex delivery conformation stated left in front of garage 😣

so on the phone I go no need for details we all have had the shuffle thru several transfers to the slightly trained English speaking helper

I did get to practice my profanity on a innocent employee who had to take the call and had nothing to do with it ( I did feel bad about that )

so shipment # 2 due today great that will help until shipment #1 problems solved.

wrong got the e-mail delivered today OH boy.

well so much for thet

it was delivered at least 50 + miles away to another town in the opposite direction.

so back to the phone and more venting but tried to be polite. but handed my phone to my wife before I hit the red zone LOL

all came from Walmart they promised to replace the orders

fedex said they would look into it ( sure you will )

I know just cat food why so upset except

its all Friskeys order totals 560 cans of cat food and 224 pounds of dry cat food

wally world had a black Friday sale of just about half off on it for one day

I happed on I don't normally look at black Friday sales I just happed on it but saved about 300.00 over the normal cost

hope they get it right this time I told them no refund I want the products

FedEx has contracts with the ground people....they aren't technically "FedEx" but are all private companies that are all contracted out to FedEx for ground deliveries. We've got a good group here that handle our stuff. It was hit or miss for a while until they weeded out the problems. We had a couple morons do our route that really messed up, but they got rid of them. There are NO perfect delivery companies out there. They are all filled with morons and idiots doing all kinds of stupid nonsense from time to time.

I wouldn't waste my time trying to track down the package....I'd call the place you paid and let that be their problem. You can insist on a refund and move on, its up to the person that sent the package to prove it was actually delivered. If it shows its delivered to a place that is nowhere near you.....not your problem.

We have gotten the best service from UPS.

Fed-X and Postal service not so much.

Over time every delivery company has lost or dated packages for us

will add Some time back UPS drivers started this

driver will place the package on our front porch then take a photo as proof ,also driver will scan it when they set it down this gets recorded by GPS exactly where they leave it and ring our door bell

Just several days back I met the driver and got a package handed to me

then he ask me to set it down so he could take his photo of it

They have gotten a lot better

This is the first time FedEx has done me in . Hopefully wally world will spank them

Even more hopefully they get the replacement shipment to us.

When and if I get it I will add to the post

Well generally Fedex will not allow a delivery that is not within 50 feet of the GPS coordinates of the address. I have met the delivery person at the end of my driveway, taken the package, and had the person walk up to near my door before their electronics would accept delivery.

But then I have had USPS post delivery of an item, but then not deliver the item until the next day.

Go figure, your mileage may very.

GPS sends new drivers to a seldom used back gate off a gravel driveway off our actual road. To get there, they have to pass our well marked driveway. After a few calls, I was able to speak with a good person at Fed-ex. She attached a note to our address to correct this.

Some FedEx drivers can't read or push the button when the door is wide open

Yes, my last FedEx delivery, two days ago, when I got email notification of delivery it included a pic of the package in the barn.

The barn is at the bottom of the mountain, six-tenths of a mile from my house. I don't know how the drivers square that with their GPS.

I feel your pain. Fed-Ex hasn't been a problem for me, but I've had an order of reloading supplies from.....a vendor that's not this one, which I'll forgo mentioning exactly which one as I think I remember that's frowned upon here.......bounce around in the USPS system for nearly a week now, and I'm not sure it's even left Missouri.

maybe he was just trying to help you get rid of a few cats, if they get hungry enought they may turn on their own........

  • Ditch-RunnerDitch-Runner Member Posts: 25,218 ✭✭✭✭

    Or me

I read a long time ago if you pass on and locked in the house the cats would be the first to eat you and not wait long the dogs only as a absolute last resort

Besides no way my wife will let her cats go hungry if we ran out of cat food i would have to sleep with one eye open LOL
