This thing started out a while back, I don't know where. A group of people all dressed as Mrs Roper and went on a bar crawl. It has taken hold and turned into something a bit bigger. There are groups that meet up all over the country to do these things.
Colorful caftan dress.....clunky jewelry....horrible red curly wig....good to go!
They go bowling....parties....bars....concerts....since its not a "bar crawl" only thing they are calling it the Roper Romp.
Yes, I am ALL IN for whatever event is near enough for me to get to and I've got my $14 wig on the way!

Not sure if they still do But years ago I remember people dressing up then going to the " cult " movie of there choice
like the Rocky Horry picture show and many more simular and then quote the lines of the movie as it played

I have no clue when it is.....but there is someone trying to get a Birmingham group up. If that happens I'm definately going. I'm thinking about getting my buddies to load up and do the one in Nashville if they don't get the B'ham one planned out soon.
I think I'm too old for bar crawls. And I kinda thought that was a college thing TBH.
