My Christmas
#3 and her spousal unit moved into their newly constructed home just before Thanksgiving. They hosted Thanksgiving and did Christmas as well.
All four kids and their significant others and children were able to be there for Christmas. I'm at 10 grandchildren now. Oldest is 19 and youngest is 3 months.
Christmas dinner was Italian themed. It was awesome. Gifts were exchanged and everyone was happy. Kids know me so well. Son-in-law who is my shooting/hunting buddy got me a Tidewe ground blind. They are awesome, see through from the inside.
Day after Christmas, #3 and I did a 5 mile hike to/from Beaver Lake through Hobbs State Park. We needed the fresh air and a little leg stretching. Came upon an old abandoned vehicle. I insisted I needed a pic.
Kids did their annual Christmas sibling photo. Their friends remarked that I had the same kid four times when they saw the pic on Facebook.

You are truly blessed.
Kids, grandkids, dinner, blah, blah, blah...
How are the goats?
What about the truck? I see it has the vent to let "air" in in the middle under the windshield. Can't figure the year and model though. I find old vehicles abandoned in the forest interesting along with other things like old farm equipment ect.
PS. Good looking bunch there.
Looks like they are KC fans. Nice looking family.
What you didn't bring that Truck home??? Just missing a couple of things lol Happy New Year Susie 🙏🥳

You have an awesome family! It is so nice to see that your children get along so well. Many siblings fight like cats and dogs, and it is so sad to see families torn apart like that. Kudos to you and your late husband for raising such great children. It reflects well on both of you. Glad everybody had a great time.
not sure of the name brand, but my cousin got one of those see through pop up blinds last year and they work great, no need to move around to see out you can see 360 degrees and he had a doe walk right up and sniff the outer wall while he was sitting inside, he said he waved at her and she never saw him moving from the outside.......
Very nice, congratulations.
Like everyone else has been saying, good looking bunch, a very positive reflection on their parenting!!
I kept going back and forth between your pic and their pic. I can't make up my mind. Which one most looks like you??
Wish I could have. It would be an awesome yard ornament.
We did the DNA thing so I at least know they are all mine even if they don't look like me. Lol
You knew they were all yours! The old saying Momma's baby, Daddy's maybe is very true.
I think your daughter standing beside your son is the daughter that looks most like you.
We are very, very blessed to have good children!! I thank the Lord every day for my great children.
The good ones are truly a gift from God!!
It's interesting how we see thing differently. I'd say the young lady with the big KC arrowhead on her shirt (2nd from left) is the one that looks most like Susie. They are a good lookin' bunch, regardless.
They are all lined up in order. Left to right, #1 through #4. They are four years apart. #1 turned 39 this month and #4 is 28.
As #3 has gotten older she is looking more like my mother. I don't think she has realized it yet though.
Looks like a 53 Chevy pickup. This picture popped up on c-list for sale and I recognized it as a possible make and model of Susie’s picture.
I don't think so @Merlinnv12 Susi pic has a more rounded fender toward the grill and the vent outside the dash, but just my guess...I'm leaning more toward a Ford, not sure exactly why though...
This looks like the same truck. Don
Look closely at my pic. You can see the cowl vent, barely, but it is there!
I added this pic from the same c-list ad.
.
Dcon12, where did you find that picture? It does look like the same truck!
I did find some Chevy trucks that had the side cowl vents. It is definitely a CHEVY!
It is the same truck, it is from a site that has pictures of abandoned old trucks. This one is located in Hobbs State park, Rodgers, Ar. Right where Susie said it was. Don
Thanks, Don.
Also need to apologize to Susie for hijacking her thread.
That is so awesome. 'Tis a small world upon which we live.
Don't apologize. I've been enjoying the posts about old trucks. The thread is traveling the direction my thought process works. Start here.....end there^^^^^^^.
😆
I too love old trucks. This was my first ride in high school. Wish I still had it!
I still have a ‘68 Bronco that bought in 1970!
