Bought a savage 110 V that was supposedly rechambered from 223 to 222 mag, finally got some brass and they won’t chamber at all …..bolt won’t close and the brass sticks out about 1/4 inch … have to find the guy I bought it from but do I have any recourse… since I’ve had it awhile … I suppose the number of day to return have gone by ….that what ya get for trusted someone at there weird 😩. Thanks

What? Don
If it sticks out that far its probably a 222. If not, time to chamber cast.
We really can't help but it should be an easy fix. First have your local gunsmith do a chamber cast to see what caliber it is and then go from there. If he has a 222 mag reamer, it will be a simple job to rechamber it.
P.S. I figure you already inspected the chamber to make sure the previous owner didn't have a case separation and leave some brass in the chamber. Good luck, Bob
Turn your hearing aids on. Not Don
What's the condition of the brass? New/unfired?
Have you checked case dimensions at all?
Have the cases ever been full length sized?
And why would anyone rechamber a .223 to .222 Mag anyway?
If the person you bought it even had any knowledge about the chambering at all. I bought a Winchester 70 for big money that was supposed to be 300h&h. Which was marked on the barrel. It was rechambered to 300 win mag. The auction house said tough luck. Get a chamber case then move forward.
The brass was once fired new brass
I still don't understand the logic of going from .223 to .222mag.
