If you wanted a close hard fought game you got it!!
I felt both offenses were less than sharp but I felt that was due to the quality of both defenses. When the defense is playing at a high level the offense has trouble shining!
There might have been questions about the selection committees choice of Alabama but Bama proved they deserved to be in the final four!
It has probably been 40 years ago but I have set in The Big House many times!

@dreher I go back to the Schembechler - Hayes rivalry myself. Been a lot of ups and downs since then but they look as good this year as any Michigan team that I remember. Texas and Washington are having a heck of a game and either one will make a good opponent next Monday. Just hopefully not too good! Bob

I don't think anyone, including me, understands how these games are scheduled. I remember as a kid when the Rose Bowl was always the champions of the Big 10 vs. the champions of the Pac 8 or 10. Those were great games that I looked forward to every year. Then that national championship thingy was created and the Rose Bowl became part of the tournament process. I think they just throw the names in a hat and draw out who plays who. Since it looks like the Pac conference is dissolving, they should of had Michigan vs. Washington at the Rose Bowl for nostalgia because there may never be another Rose Bowl between those conferences. They get to play next week, but it ain't the same. Bob
