Yotes or Dogs

These images were captured on my game cam in November and early December. We hear the yotes howling at night in that area. So, based on the black and white images would you say yotes or dogs? Nephew-in-law and his dad are entering a yote hunting contest at the end of the month. Hoping they are successful and rid the area of the varmints.

Yotes. Well fed ones at that.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Coyotes.
Dogs. I don't see any roadrunners or any ACME products.

I'm not convinced that's a 'yote. Coyote's usually carry their tail down or straight out. That tail curled up over the back is not something you'd typically see from a coyote. Looks to me more like a dog with some husky or something like that in it.
Sure would be nice if you could get some color pictures of it.
Yotes!
Choot em!
They will lift their tail when marking territory and it can curl if held right. I think that is a yote.

The first two pictures you can see another coyote in the back ground on the second picture, and the one coyote looks to be urinating. The third picture it looks as though a couple weeks later the one coyote is checking his territory mark.
There coyotes.
Mating season for coyotes is around the middle of February into march.
Agree bout the tails. The characteristic tail carry is taught in mammalogy courses. Coydogs maybe?
I would say coyote.
Have to go with Neo. That one with the curled tail is probably crossed with a dog. I am seeing and hearing more wolves than coyotes right now.

That's my take on the picture as well. Coyote is 'marking' the dark object. Could also be a 'coydog'.
Yotes, no doubt.
Yotes as stated.
This popped up on my Facebook feed so I had to share it.
Those are good ole Missouri Yotes !!!!
Would not make any difference to me if a yote or a wild dog.
Whatever it is, it needs shot or trapped.
No collar and frequent visits.
I could also bait them critters and lay some night buckshot on them.
They are kinda like crows, kill one and his friends will put out the word if you let the dead ones lay.
NV scope would do the trick.
They could also be legally trapped, but you have to know what you are doing to trap a wild dog or yote mix. (they are always wise to traps)
Most are nocturnal but if you see something chasing a road runner day or night it's probably a yote.
