Good luck, hope you get your fill!
My 9 year old grandson killed his first deer new years day.He has been trying for the last 3 seasons.Used the same rifle that his dad killed his first deer with.
I changed my mind at the last minute, I had a doe tag left for muzzleloader. About 420 two yearlings and this doe came out and hung around at around 50 to 60 yards for a good 20 minutes. I kept hoping they would venture a little closer but they turned and went the other way. About 5 minutes later the doe was down the field at 165 yards (give or take but that was what I stepped off. I lined up and shot, she took three steps and dropped. I do not know why deer with minor injuries always come my way. This one had a bum leg so at least she will not have to struggle through a tough winter...
Nice job!
Nice!
Very good. She looks fat and delicious!
Good job keeping that next generation interested in hunting and the outdoors !!!!! 😀
Thumbs up !!
I’m highly skeptical about you hunting while enjoying ‘420’ in the deer woods. 🤣😎
165 yards. Long shot for a muzzleloader. What rifle did you use?
CVA Optima, three 777 pellets, 245gr Powerbelt bullet. Nikon scope. I put it together twelve years ago and have had pretty good success with it. It is an accurate setup and I have practiced with it out over 200 yards.
Your rifle is impressive!! The only time I ever shot a muzzleloader I couldn't have hit a deer at 50 yards.😁
Good job!
Glad it worked out for you Frank! Nice reward.
Karma, taking out a injured animal is a blessing to the hunting Gods. Good on you brother.
🙃😀😁 OK, I spewed coffee on my IPAD when I read this....
Oh wait, what I meant to say is HOW dare you cast aspersions upon the deer that roam my farm !!!! 😜
congrats on the successful hunt
Well done, congrats.
