WHY do some people feel the need to explain their problems or validate their excuses?

Never in my life have I ever dropped the ball on something and thought......what we need is a full on production with an emotional soundtrack playing in the background so everyone involved will know how hard my day/life is and why I failed. I just don't get it??
I've noticed it less lately with the non paying bidders.....so I think the users FINALLY understand that if you don't pay, it doesn't matter why. I still get a few emails here and there with a long list of excuses.

They do it to make themselves feel better.
Just a simple "ain't paying" would suffice.
I know someone just like that ............... used to be friends but I finally got tired of hearing all the excuses and BS and cut all ties.
I hate people that absolutely refuse to accept responsibility for anything but always have a handy excuse at the ready.
Typical way most blowhards operate!
I would tell you why, but I have two paper cuts on the tip of my fingers and hit hurts to much to type a long response.......

Democraps continue to fuel this because it makes individuals believe they are dependent on the government = will vote D. Helps explain the insane policies concerning immigration. Maybe try the Chicago approach by saying. Excuse’s are like a nose, everybody has one, where’s my money.
Its not just non paying bidders....I see it on FB....I've got a friend that has a girlfriend who is a nightmare. She always has crazy drama going on with every excuse you can dream of to not operate like a normal person from day to day.
Amen to that Kasey! I have a lot of "friends" on social media that it just amazes me the things they post... I have always tried to keep my dirty laundry in the utility/mud room/laundry not in public for the whole world to see...
Its all about me, is the norm now. Look at how the posts here get twisted around.
The farther we have moved from being an agrarian society where hard work was necessary for survival the worse it has become.
My problem is now your problem now fix it
The longer & more involved the excuse, the less I believe it.
I've long thought that "personal responsibility" went out the window during......................the "Slick Willie" Clinton years.
