Breaking news, it is going to snow.... geez.

For about 24 hours the weather people in our area have been beside themselves. You would think the end of the World is right around the corner. It is January. It snows in January, sometimes it snows a lot. And half the time they are completely wrong in their predictions.

Plenty of food, generator if needed, three full gas tanks in the vehicles and a good attitude. Yep I am ready

Hope you all out there are getting through whatever storms are coming your way !

I hope it snows, I’ve been wanting to go rabbit hunting. I’m one that still gets a kick out of rabbit hunting.

As far as sensationalizing the weather I have one question. When in the hell did we start naming snow storms? Lol

I completely get it !!!! I am looking forward to some crossbow hunting in the snow.... I am also looking forward to a Gator ride around the area in the snow !

Hell I don't like snow, but as cold as I've been the last month or so it would make sense to have it on the ground, but we don't... Just got a 500 plus electric bill today.. getting older ain't for the weak I guess...

Our snow has been woefully late. But picking up like gang busters now. We got three inches Friday and another eight last night. A foot plus forecast between now and the weekend - and that's down here in the valley. The mountains are getting foot upon foot every day.

Last winter, we got over 900 inches in the mountains. Yes, you math wizards, that's 75+ FEET of snow.

    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

No snow to speak of in Cent. Wis. we need some to keep the frost from going too deep.

Probably when ol’ Bob blizzard showed up !! 🤣

I have a Miracle Ear appointment this morning. Dreading this not because of weather but because of the CHAOS that will be occurring in town due to the weather predictions. Also have to pickup a load of 2x4 lumber to begin finish work inside our new shop building. Won't have any traction issues on the way home for sure.

Most likely will face a shortage of bread, milk, and TP as is the usual pre-storm prep items.🙃

Hoping to get done with business and get home before 1PM snow starts.

To go one further, they're not "snow storms" anymore. They're "snow events"! We now sensationalize everything!

All the sensationalizing reminds me of an old story. On the air the next day, a female newscaster asked the weatherman, "What happened to the 10" you promised me last night?" oops

This weekend we got about 8 inches on top of what was still remaining of the 4 inches or so that we got early December (which was about half of it... some bare ground). We are supposed to get about 12 more inches over the next couple days and it is finally supposed to get reasonably cold (-1). This winter has been a real disappointment.

Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

Had about a foot on the ground and it rained almost all day yesterday. Went to bed last night and it was raining pretty steady with a little water in cellar. Got up this AM and water was pretty much gone in cellar and i turned on de-humidifier. Just a few piles of snow to left and right of driveway.

Went to Walley World tonight to get a new small bed and a squeaky ball for Willie Jr. He tore up his old bed that i place near oil filled radiator. Lots of monster piles of snow in their parking lot.

Willie loves his new bed and squeaky ball. See below.-----------------Ray

I was looking forward to the 7 inches of snow that KY3 was predicting for Tuesday. I love playing in it with my Jeep.

All we got were some flurries blowing around Tuesday here in Ozark County. Yesterday it got up to 50F outside.
