I know nothing about these. I'd like to set one up "inside" pointed out a big slider we have. Suggestions please. Thanks

I dont think any will work in that setup, at least not for night pics. The flash, even IR, will bounce off the glass door and distort the image.
Maybe so, but I shoot pictures through a glass window with a Bushnell?
You will have to test the motion sensor through glass. I have to go with Mike on IR will flash against the glass.
Have you taken good reliable pictures through the glass at night with a IR game camera or digital camera?????????
Reason i ask is:
I've noticed that even a small twig or weed close to a game camera at night will usually glow bright white in the picture like a bright reflection and the pictures will sometimes white out.
I've not tried such with a game camera or a digital camera but suspect you would get a complete failure at times.
I admit they are not perfect, but better than nothing.
I tried different set ups on my front porch when I was trying to figure out what critters were there at night. Even with the camera on a stand shooting back at the front door area, there would be some white out from windows etc.
Not sure what you are trying to check out, but can you put the camera outside on either side of the door ?
Only brand made in USA is Reconyx.
William-That would be no problem. Which mfg. would you recommend?
I have a few Muddy Brand cameras around the place currently.
I have a couple wildgame innovation cameras(terra extreme lights out). Cheap, but they make good pics, and are easy on the batteries.
