What do you do if a seller has credit card listed as an accepted form of payment but when you win the auction they don't have the ability to accept credit cards?

Contact support.
I would call the seller and see if the two of you can agree on a different form of payment. If that isn't possible I would think you have two options - cancel the purchase w/o any bad feedback from the seller or accept whatever form of payment the seller wants.
If it was listed and now they need a different payment method. My brain says scam that's just me.
Communicate with the seller and figure out an option. Who knows? Actually talkin' to somebody ya might make a new friend!
I wouldn't do business with someone that shows incompetence at the very stat of a transaction. It depends on how much you want the gun, if you can talk directly to the seller.....maybe a discount, such as free shipping is warranted??? I would move on myself unless it was a very desired purchase.
Postal Money Order used to be king.
Until about 10 years ago.........when fraudsters started copying even it!!😱
Seems we've come full circle.........back to the personal check. 😉
Could be an "honest" mistake BUT I would look at the feedback and make contact with said person. If you get a bad feeling as above contact support. I have had to advise of a couple fraud auctions here and they take that seriously.
