It was in the mid 70s here yesterday, wind was around 5 knots. I took my boat out for the first time in a year, went for a 25 mile ride, ran like it came off of the showroom floor yesterday, was a truly beautiful day.

River, lake or ocean?
Inter-coastal waterway (Halifax river locally).
It didn't happen if you don't have pics!

What kind of boat, @bullshot ? Man, I am Jonesin' bad to get on the water!
congrats on a fun day
I have only been on a boat few times in life I have to say it was fun and great to fish from , one dummy coworker even let me behind the wheel and lets say it was a adventure for them LOL
but not being able to swim has its drawbacks one I never felt the need to have a boat
I hope you had better luck on your trip we know how this one went
What Alpine said.
Spitting snow here, so no pleasant boat rides today nor for a while.
Thought about fishing from a boat since Ditch mentioned it. When fishing from the bank why do we cast out in the water just as far as possible and then when in a boat we cast just as close to shore as possible?
It's just a small (15 1/2 feet) Scout 155 Sportfish with a 50 hp Mariner. Love this boat, rides like a Cadillac and with a four blade prop it'll get up on a plane in about 30 feet, runs nearly 40mph with just me in it.
Sweet! I always thought center consoles were practical as heck.
Needs a trolling motor and a front fish finder, then you'd be all set.
No trolling motor but there is a Garmin GPS with Google earth overlay/depth sounder (traditional and side scaning)/plotter with the ability to create your own charts by steering a grid and recording all of the bottom features which ends up being a map of the bottom.
Also has a live bait well and an internationally registered marine radio.
Over kill I know but... I have a lot of time on my hands.
We just bought a new trolling motor for our boat. It's got a 'spot lock' feature that uses GPS to hold the trolling motor head within just a couple feet of the spot you tell it to lock on to. I'm pretty pumped to get out and give it a whirl. It's gotta be easier than pullin' 100+ feet of anchor line.
What type of fish is it you're after when you go fishin'?
cool
This was my first "break-in" trip, before I added a side-scan/mapping finder to the console and a down image finder to the front deck. Hope to use it a lot more this year.
In fresh water it's Bass and Speckled Perch, in salt water it's Red Fish, Snook, Drum, SheepsHead, Trout and Bluefish.
I'd like to have one of those trolling motors. Talked to a guy at the boat ramp one day that had a remote control trolling motor, he launched his boat and just let it float out away from the dock, he parked his truck and then just drove the boat back to the dock with his remote ................. I thought that was pretty cool.
It is cool! I've got a similar setup with the current trolling motor. A small remote that I wear like a watch so I can control the motor wirelessly. The new one has that and adds in the 'spot lock' and a function that allows you to point the boat in a certain direction and it will maintain that heading regardless of wind and current. Makes it real nice when trolling. If you spend a lot of time fishing they are certainly worth the coin.
It's pretty easy to nearly double the original cost of the boat by adding "nice stuff" like those trolling motors, high-end fish finders, and power pole anchors. All of those run $3,000 each and up.
That almost looks too purty to get fish blood on!
Almost...
Nice setup, bullshot.
I have always liked the look of a center console boat. I moved from a Malibu Wakesetter to a pontoon boat when I turned 60 and wakeboarding began to take too much of a toll on my knees and back. Either way, there are few things that are better than a day on the water with friends and family.

Thanks, I really like center console boats because they give you access to the whole boat and an equal view from the helm.
Yeah, I get that, I used to love water skiing but age put an end to that for me too.
As long as I can be in the bushes with Maryann...........................😉
