Harvesting a turkey has been on my bucket list for a few years now. In the past I have called them close and on cue, a coyote will roll through and chase them away before I can get a shot. This year I have been scouting while I was out fishing in some hunting areas I can use when the season starts. Anyone else getting ready to hunt some gobblers ?🦃
I was watching these three for a while yesterday. I have figured out their patterns and know where they roost.. I worked my way through some thick brush and set up on a fence row with my camera and took some decent pics of this group. Hope to see them in a few weeks....

Had 4 pretty good toms outside the kitchen window yesterday. All had 7 - 9 inch beards and all looked fat and happy getting a drink from the pond and checking under the bird feeders. The sun was glaring on the window preventing a pic but I am sure I'll get another chance. Super mild winter so far, so all the critters including them seem to be doing well. Bob
I no longer hunt turkeys, but I have a son that kills a couple every season.
How does he know they're married? 🤔

A couple of Tom’s could be a “couple” but they would have a queer taste if eaten!
Saw me the same 4 (two hens and couple of young jakes) walking around my condo last week. Saw them earlier at the public library a week before that is less than a mile away. If bidenomics gets any better I won't be seeing them wondering around cluelessly.
