Bit of a guys weekend, We are flying into Austin on a Friday & flying home Sunday night.
The main draw is the Moto GP race at Circuit of the Americas. I used to go every year when I lived in TX.
We’re staying in a Cabin at Bastrop State park.
Schedule is generally pretty open on Friday and Saturday, though there’s always something going on at the track.
Anyone have a good spot to drop in on while we’re there?
Pic from back in the day for no reason from a cabin at Bastrop. My bike is the white Ducati farthest in the pic.

Austin—-The San Francisco of Texas. A lib stronghold surrounded by the Tea Party MAGA's.
You'll probably eat some grossly overpriced brisket claiming to be the world's best BBQ, chug a few long-neck beers, and happily leave behind what has become Weirdo Central. Try to not become infected.
Well yeah since "they" have to stand in line to buy Q from Franklin's to make "their" sandwich. Cut the middle man and buy direct from Franklin's.
If you're up for fried chicken and country veggies, Meuth's in the small town/community of Rockney is excellent and maybe 15 -20 minutes from Bastrop. It's in an old converted country store (don't look like much), and open only on the weekends.
Further off the beaten path, Kreuz BBQ in Lockheart puts out some fine BBQ.
My daughter says she has a reminder set up on her phone around Circuit of the Americas saying go to work by an alternate route, as traffic will be horrendous.
Salt Lick around Round Rock was pretty darn good. Has an open pit in the place. That’s been 5 years ago though.
Two of my family members moved to Austin, lemme get in contact with them to see if they have things to recommend.
In any case, I hope your trip goes well!
