Things to do around Magazine Moutain

Here in the near future taking a slight detour to my moms and spending a couple days at the Magazine Moutain lodge looking for things to do in that area. Keep in mind we're old and fat no zip lines and if it is horse back riding they would have to be able to supply some kind of draft horse.

Magazine Mountain, huh? Maybe you could find something to read!

I'm jealous! Great area just to enjoy being alive. Has some good trails, and you can occasionally see a black bear once they come out of hibernation. Blue Mountain Lake is close with beautiful scenery and good fishing. If you're into history, Ft. Smith National Historic Site is about an hour and a half away featuring Judge Parker's courtroom and gallows as well as remnants of the old fort. It's the real "True Grit" country. My first job out of college was at Magazine's sister park Queen Wilhelmina on Rich Mountain. We used to argue about which was the high point in Arkansas - Rich Mountain is, but only after you cross into Oklahoma. It'll be cool at night and in the early morning, so be sure to take a jacket.
Is there a capacity limit on Magazine Mountain?

Or load!
At only 2,700 feet sounds like a mere hill to me. Around here we don't name speed bumps.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
