We had our ATF inspection....everything went GREAT!
We've only had them come one other time. This time was like the other, they thought they were coming in to check a much smaller operation than they found. We have a VERY good system we have worked out over time. It helps us keep up with everything here very well and I can put my hands on anything in question with very little effort. So, they were impressed with how easy it was for them to do our check.
When they came, seeing the inventory they thought they were going to have to call in more people to help them….but they knocked it out in two "short" days…..out of here before 3pm each day. The 4473s are all in order, all guns are accounted for.
Not one complaint or problem….a couple minor boxes not checked, but they said they weren't going to write that up.
I'm very proud of my guys for how well they do their jobs.

Great job! I hope you can keep the machine running & have fun doing it for many years!
Congrats, I can tell your dogs behaved.
Well done hobby lady!!! Congrats to you and your crew.
Did you use the "new" 4473's that has different wording and the last "box" instead of two. My FFL found out yesterday that he was supposed to use the "new" 4473 instead of the ones he is using now. Found out on the ATF website that was mandatory starting Feb. 1rst this year.
My youngest son is a FFL last time all went well for him also
He said the local agent is a decent fellow.
Yes, we switched over a bit ago. Normally they send out a few forms with a note saying this form will be mandatory on a certain date, but they didn't with this one. We had to order forms and found out there was a NEW one we were supposed to be using. We just got the new ones about a month ago, so we were late to change over….but they didn't say anything.
Glad it went smooth for you. You must have a boatload (think battleship, not canoe) of records for it to take two days for them to go through it all!
There are over 700 guns here right now. We're running just under 100 auctions per week at the moment. We don't have that many background checks because local people rarely win auctions….only around 2 or 3 per week. They teamed up and just called out all of the inventory numbers on each tag….then sat down with our books to check off each number to verify everything here is logged in. They had a couple that they didn't find on their list, but we went right to them when they told us what was not accounted for in their tally.
Hopefully you repeatedly reminded them that their organization should not exist.

And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche

What are the new changes on the form? Or are the new forms the ones that ask if your non- binary, or Hispanic or not hispanic?
