It was a rimfire day….I fired .17hmr, .22LR and .22 Magnum pistols and revolvers. One of the reasons for the trip was the continuation of deciding which firearms I want to hold onto and which ones to consign….
I have owned a S&W Victory for almost 4 years. I bought one because of the glowing range reports in various gun rags and the recommendation of friends who owned them. I put a dot sight on mine and got decent groups with it, but nothing spectacular. Today as I was packing up, I found a box of CCI Standard Velocity and figured I had never tried them before in the Victory… Should have known right ?… One should try out other ammo when a gun is not performing up to expectations…
Sure enough best groups ever with this firearm……
Fifteen yard, five shot groups were similar to this one… Looks like I found a new squirrel hunting pistol !!!
Looks more like a duck hunting pistol!

Closest target they had that was near to the size of a squirrel !!! It was ducks or flying pigs ! 😁

Yep, mine will group in a dime at 50 feet if I can do my job. I have a Burris Fast Fire on it.
I have a Nikon Tactical Red dot on mine.
