Went in yesterday and ordered a brand new pickup. I've never had a new vehicle of any kind and have been needing a new rig so there is a brandy new Ford F-350 crew cab being built with my name on it.

Not sure whether to offer congratulations or condolences.
Can't hide $$$$$$$$$$$! 🤩
That said, my 30 year old Grandson stopped by to show off his new Chevy Z71 4 door pickup. He is the chief engineer for a construction company, single, and making a LOT more than I ever did! His old truck was a 1998 Chevy with almost 300K miles on it.
Very nice! What color and what options?

Cool, you getting a dually or single?
Suggestion, Either way, I would get a set of air bag levelers w/ compressor size of your choosing installed from the get go. One ton leaf springs aren’t what they used to be. But do not let them talk you into the wireless controller, had one and will not go down that road again.

Went with the Lariat package with single rear wheels, 6'9" bed. Added the off-road package, extra tie downs in the bed, camper package, block heater, spray in bed liner, and a few other gadgets. Already got a plan to have the air bags installed. Thanks for the tip on the wireless gizmo! Sounds like they'll start the build in late June and we should have it 3-6 months after that.
I can't wait to hear my wife when I put the first scratch in it!!!
Get the 6.7l Powerstroke diesel?
Great choice, that's a really nice truck. Too bad they don't still make the 7.2 , you could drag a house off of it's foundation with one.
My last Ford truck was a 1999, F350, crew cab, long bed and a dually, with that cab and that bed is was like driving a bus but it got good mileage and with a 30 ft trailer, it would barely squat from the tongue weight.
When we decided that we were done with the camping thing, I traded the F350 and the camper for my then new Silverado 1500 LTZ with all the bells and whistles.
I've had Fords and Chevys and I like them both equally, never had a bad Ford or Chevy truck, I did have two Dodge lemons though but that was a long time ago.
That's awesome. Congrats to you. Did they do a penny start on it??
LOL. Yep, but the end of the auction was SEVERAL pennies worth! Wow, i wouldnt be able to sleep at night.
Nice to be able to afford what you want tho! Congrats.
Looking forward to seeing the pics after you get it !!!!
Yeah, you did it alright. I hope it lasts you 20 years.
Somehow buying a truck and losing a testicle seem to fit into the same category these days. Hopefully you gave the dealership the moose or elk edition.
…a new cerakote finish on a revolver? 😂

Q: Why do men like it when a woman wears leather?
A: Cause she smells like a new truck.
Awesome Neo, I hope it serves you well. Can't wait to see pictures of it when you get your hands on it.
Congrats
Sounds like you picked out a nice one
Post up some photos when you take control
Ad for us We have bought several new cars ,trucks over the years always a good feeling no doubt.
Sadly i Don't seeit happening again n my life time unless my friend the prince in Africa sends me some money LOL
We went with the 7.3 gas engine. I don't need to drag any houses off their foundations and the 7.3's 430 HP and 475 FtLbs of torque will carry our camper and tow the boat just fine. Going diesel adds too many extra expenses and hassles.
^^^Probably a good choice. Buying a turbo-diesel and then using it for a car is a very POOR choice.
90% of diesel engine wear comes in the first few seconds after start up. Starting frequently takes a lot of longevity off the engine.
What color? Did you get a dually?
It should have our (Brembo) brakes on it.
Silver and single rear wheels. What are Brembo brakes? Is that the outfit you work for?
The 7.3 Godzilla motor is a wonder.
Yes, best brakes on the planet.
Enjoy the truck, I hope your experience is great.
That's a nice green cerakote finish on the car! 😉

…Congrats!…enjoy it!…not a lot compares to that "new" truck smell!…I bought a new truck, twice…with my first new truck I tried using my warranty for an item here & there, unless you have the time to be w/o your truck for a day or days, only take it in for warranty work if the engine falls out…do it yourself or have your mechanic fix it, its freakin' cheaper …second new truck because my FIL owns a Pontiac/Buick/GMC dealership.😁…a nice clean 2 year old truck saves a LOT of money, besides, with all the people who don't actually "use" a truck hard, there are plenty of great 2 year old trucks available…oh, an extended warranty is a rip off, its only great for the salesman & dealership…
