This bad boy was in the driveway this morning. He coiled up, and he
struck my tennis shoe! Wouldn't get out of the road I had to drive around him

Maybe Just me but I would prefer a bright red with a 6 speed viper LOL
Good, on you letting it have the right away a lot of people would have just ran over the snake
That was a close one. At first I thought you met Select Fire 🤪 and he traded in his black corvette for a viper.
That does not look like a bad one. Had the second Copperhead in my yard yesterday, about 3 feet long. Some people are saying a lot of them are around because of the cicadas. Maybe. Have they been waiting 17 years for them? I let good snakes go, move them to the woods usually. But not Copperheads.
The stretch model there. How long you figure he is?
I thought the Dodge version.
I believe he did Dodge it. He drove around him.
We are going to have to start your id education all over.
He was 4 feet long. HeDog are you saying, it isn't a viper?
Non poisonous Black Rat snake, good to have around.
If he is as chefr said he is good to have around, I have seen a couple on my place and they don't back down, even tried to chase me, so I just said, Ok you can have the road, I'll go around….because me and my shovel wasn't deterring him at all!
To start, there are no vipers in North America, at least not reptilian vipers. That isn't even a pit viper. That said, you did driving carefully around it. It is not a death adder either.
I caught one of those last week in our driveway and carried him to the woods and released him.The one I caught was very well behaved and showed zero aggression.Around here we call them black snakes.
Original photo enlarged. He looks pretty mean.
That's only because that is what they are.
