I'm still kickin'

Been so busy with everything I rarely get a chance to check in even just to read a few posts. Dropping by to say I didn't get blown away.

No power since Sunday morning and probably won't have power for another week or so. Trees down, poles and lines snapped everywhere. About 15 counties in Southern Missouri were hard hit so the power company is spread thin.

I had filled the fresh water tank in my camper and had gas in the generator so we are ok, living "off grid" at the moment. I'm in town refilling gas cans and going to swing by my aunt and uncle's house to fill up my 45 gallon water tank. They have power.

Im on well water so no power, no water. Luckily my house is well insulated so I throw open all the windows at night to cool it down and close them up during the day to keep it cool. We had a tree hit the well house so there is some roof damage to it.

Not sure if we had any tornadoes since I haven't been online to see the news. We have huge trees blown over throughout my woods and along the fence line. I have a small set of trees in the field. One side, the branches were snapped off from top to bottom. Other side, not a scratch.

I did hear a roar when it hit Sunday morning. Others have said they did as well. No one lost a life in the area. Some homes were damaged, out buildings, and fences down.

Praying that everyone is well.
