What do you guys use to grease/oil the sliding/patio glass door?

Last year I finally got fed up fighting the silly thing and greased it. Freed the door off and sprayed the wheels. I think I used the white lithium and that lasted almost a year. I'm gonna use sillicone lube this time and I think I'll wire brush the rail (didn't do that last time). Depending on what the white lithium looks like I may Brake Clean the wheels first.
I didn't look at the wheels very hard (last time) but I wonder over the years it is no longer "round" and got a flat spot? figure it's from 1980s so who knows?

I've got a spray on graphite dry lube I use on things like that. Works real good and doesn't attract dirt/grime. Also works great on firing pins.
Wax
+1
Clean and wax the tracks and dry lube the bearings on the wheels.
Hornady one shot case lube, it's wax based or, LPS 1, I am told it is used on the controls of small
airplanes. I use them both on semi autos.

I always used bees wax on the seat tracks off my plane.
To lube the wheels on the sliding door, I have to remove the door. It's a two man job anymore.😒
WAX WORKS WELL
LARD
Graphite, I imagine would wash off.
Wax? Like paraffin or bees? I imagine dirt and grime would gum up the works.
So I wire brushed and hosed the track since I didn't want to pull the glass off the rail. I did half to see if I improved. It kind a did but i think I still need to do it right.
KY jelly might work. 🤓
Look up Protexall L-Wax lubricant. It is made for aluminum window and door tracks. Bob
Where do you think I got the sillicone lube from?
BobJudy - I'll have to look for that Protexall L-Wax when I'm out and about if the sillicone lube fails.
There is a spray lube made for garage door rollers. Dries up and doesn't drip or run off. I'd try that. It sure makes our garage door quieter.
Merlinnv12, Never waste KY. 😏
