Sunset in Missouri

Enjoyed sitting on the deck sipping a glass of wine and reading this evening. Temp is very comfortable this evening after the rain last night and this morning.
The skyline is a little different since the storm and tornado of May 26th took out the elephant tree. The tornado didn't come through my hayfield, just the high winds on the outskirt that accompanied it.

Good photo.
Amen!
Beautiful……We have great ones here in MO
Where are you Missouri folk from? If you don't want to say town, just general area. I grew up (from age 3 - 19) in S.W. Missouri in and around Joplin. My dad had a bunch of rental houses there when the big tornado went through and he lost over half of the houses including the one we lived in while I was there.
Susie, the one you are talking about might be the same tornado about a month ago that toppled a HUGE elm tree of my moms husband's son. You can see the tree trunk is bigger than the diameter of the propane tank. 😮
I'm located between Doniphan and Oxly. About 25 miles west of Poplar Bluff. I'm a stone's throw from the Arkansas line on the eastern side of the state.
That's cool Susie. We used to go float Current River every couple/few years when I was a kid. It used to be a really beautiful peaceful place. From what I hear the river is overcrowded now with largely the wrong kind of people. Could just be a rumor though. That is an absolutely beautiful area. Anytime we are close to either Sikeston or Ozark MO, we always go through Lambert's Cafe (Home of the throwed rolls). Good stuff!
