Prayers for a wise Vet…..
Prayer works
Well, she's still doing ok... Of course @dpmule helped me again without knowing… My vet texted this morning so I'm sure he'll be coming out at some point. I just got out of a 2 hour dentist appointment... I need a little nap. 😜

Dr Dan came.... Rae Shell was sanded. He prescribed the stuff you feed them from the livestock supply 🙏❤️🙏 He examined her back leg as she was running away from me lol said it's mending. Praise God 🤚 🙏 ❤️

Great to hear good news !!!!
That is great news

when you say “sanded” I am guessing referring to sand colic?
She on pasture or being fed dry feed/hay?
Mule
@dpmule She has been locked up in a corral due to her injury.... She has been eating fresh grass hay and senior grain with warm water

A late prayer for your horse Lady Rae. Glad to hear she is recovering well!
I see that someone kindly moved this thread so I could update it... Rae Shell is really on the mend. She was waiting in her old spot for her grain this morning she is not lying down as much. The Lord is very good.

Glad to hear she's on the mend.
Good news
Hoe old is Rae Shell? In April, we lost our Tennessee Walking horse, Murphy. He was 34. He had been having trouble getting up (At 86, I have some issues, too!). About half a dozen times we had to pull him up with the quad. Routinely, I brought him in morning and night to feed him; the rest of the time he was in the pasture with the other two horses. On his last morning he seemed agitated and not interested in his feed. When I went to check on him a couple hours later, he was dead in his stall. He was a good guy; we are missing him.
We wish you good luck with your Rae Shell horse.
Rae Shell is the youngest of the horses at I believe 20… I'm so sorry about Murphy ❤️❤️ We lost our Fairy Queen in January. It's so hard. 🙏🙏❤️❤️
