Joe was a character. He fought his way across Germany with Patton's Army, he called himself a "Dogface."
Joe was from New Jersey. He talked about, as a teenager he and his pal took the train into New York, where they bought REAl cap and ball revolvers, like, Civil War surplus 1851 Colt Navy pistols. Imagine, travelling into New York City to buy used military surplus guns.
When I think of New Jersey I think of urban congestion, interstates, garbage dumps etc., like in The Sopranos. But it is "The Garden State." Joe lived out in the country with his wife, and they had a herd of "pet" deer. Joe posted pics of his wife feeding a dozen healthy whitetails.

I remember
An older friend used to take a train from Jersey to NYC and then a train to Bannerman's. Then back again with as many rifles as they could carry bundled together with rope. No one cared. Maybe Joe went to Jovino's in NYC.
Jersey had Navy Arms & Sarco which made for fun shopping.
As do I.
Been a long time
Was it Joe that had multiple Colt Single Action Army revolvers? I saved this picture.
Pretty sure that was Karl (Perry Shooter), but I could be wrong about that.
Most likely Old Colts. Don
Yes they are!
That's gotta be it.
If I recall correctly,
Old-colts, had the colt collection
Perry shooter, Karl, had the 1911s
Doc, Saxon Pig, had the smith's
I have the Jennings “Silver Box” edition and NO it is not for sale at any money!
