Fall in Colorado. Please hurry!
It happens about this time every year. By mid August, I'm sick of the heat and ready for some cooler weather.
So go on, summer! *!!!
Fall here in Colorado is absolutely perfect. It's cool but neither cold nor hot. When you get up in the morning you can sit outside without cooking like a sausage on the grill. You might even need a jacket which for some odd reason makes coffee taste better when sitting outside. And if we're lucky, we'll get one nice snowfall near the end of October that looks beautiful and then quickly melts away before it becomes a nuisance.
Fall also means more chances to get into the mountains without all the Denver hipsters crowding up the roads and trails. And this seems like the year to get away for a few long weekends and experience some places we've not been to before. All things considered, there's no point in waiting. Better get to it because no one knows what next year will bring.
What's fall like in your part of the world?

Summer has been so long and hot, I can't remember. Got licenses for turkey and javelina, so I will find out. Maybe some ducks come winter, I can't remember that either.
I can't wait for fall to get here and eradicate those @#$%%^^&& chiggers. I'm covered in thier bites
Harvest. Don
Just hot in Texas
fall around here hurts and sometimes you can't get up………
this summer has gone by so fast I didn't even have time to notice it 😔
Soon it will be 20 below and foot of snow,,
103 in CenTex today……….ugh
Come on down, I'll buy tacos. And pizza.
I do miss the beautiful golden Falls of Colorado, with the crisp air and excitement of the quickly changing season.
I DON’T, however, miss all the vagrants and homeless/druggie camps everywhere, or running into sketchy people on the trails with my family. We’ve lived in a lot of big cities, but I felt the need to carry in Colorado Springs as much as any of them.
Lots of time yet no hurry. We have snow in November, and it lasts till April.
You have a cold front move through...…that I didn't know about?😉
Close to the Red River........we topped out at 111 degrees today.🥵🥵
Like every August.......I've been watching the electrical and geothermal heat pump....like a hawk.🧐
This summer........so far.…...so good.😎
When I first saw this headline post, I thought Forgemonkey took a tumble.
Fall just started here in Western Ohio. The leaves are turning and just starting to drop. The temperatures are pleasant and the skies are cloudy and there is a nip in the air. My favorite time of the year.

here at 70 degrees North, 150 degrees west, it is 34 degrees today 20-Aug, and tundra grasses are quickly turning brown, most of the caribou have headed out on their migration, the multiple grizzlies in the area are feeding voraciously on anything they can, killing a few caribou singles that remain and competing with Arctic foxes for rotten goose, duck, swan eggs that didn’t hatch.

September will be filled with perch fishing trips on Erie if the wind cooperates.
October is the beginning of archery season, which gives us the opportunity to refill the freezer with venison.
The last week of October is going be one of my favorite memories, as I will be retiring on the 30th.
So, yes, I am anxiously awaiting fall.
Congrats, good luck, best wishes @Gregor62
Thanks MJ!
@Gregor62 Congratulations, you will enjoy it. Best job I ever had. Lol
Fall in Illinois is beautiful with brilliant orange, red, yellow and brown colors mixed in. Only problem is, after 3 weeks and the cold rains and wind knock all the leaves off, it looks like Chernobyl in Russia. lol.
My favorite time of the year is spring when everything is turning that new fresh green color.
I left Buena Vista CO yesterday morning at 45* and that was great. Woke up this morning in MO @ 75* and broke a sweat doing chores. I'm not complaining about summer in CO.
39° here this morning and a heavy dew on the pastures. A high yesterday of 61°. Won't be long now.
95 expected today and 97 tomorrow……looking forward to some cooler weather and bow hunting …
And harvest time !
Yep, upper 50's and low 80's last week. 70's and 90's this week. The summer vs. fall struggle has begun.
Same here in so.west Virginia @susie The news is referring to last week as a false fall. I could do with more of that weather.
Weather is great this time of year in God's country.
It's on it's way. Mid 60s here, light breeze. The breeze is actually chilly. Need to schedule to get sprinkler system blown out.
Heat index of 105 expected here today. No cool down for us .
We had rain yesterday and this morning there was a thin crust of ice on everything. Brrr!
