That guy is funny. All wanna be Al Capone (De Niro in "Untouchables"). Since harris got no love from unions, you know she got no pull. Better stock up on toilet papers, now.

Im glad you pointed out which word was missing. Had no clue what your post was about, until i understood what the * meant.

That union boss is an idiot. He is making millions(just my guess) off the backs of union workers dues. He is on tv with an expensive gold chain around his neck PRETENDING to care about blue collar workers.

IMHO, they should fire every worker that strikes. They make $39 and hour. They demand $69 an hour over 6 years plus a guarantee there won't be ANY automation added to their jobs.

The ports offered them $58.50 over 6 years, TRIPLE employer contributions to their retirement, and promised no FULLY automated processes. The union flat out refused that offer. That proves to me their goal is chaos, not more $ for the workers!

They said the head of their union makes $700,000 a year.
The 42 years I worked on the railroad every time they called a strike the president would have a judge order us back to work within 24 hours. So what’s so special about dock workers? Their in the same business that we were in, moving material and goods.
I understand their point about automation, job security they feel, but they have to realize the technology is here and it’s not going away. If not, goods will come into the country thru Mexico or Canada and they will be out of a job, and Mexico and Canada will benefit.

…I was a Teamster for several years, Local-742…mostly I paid monthly dues…if someone needed the Union, forget it… Safeway did as they pleased…Unions have always been weak here, a good thing…consumer goods are not jacked up to cover Union "costs", one of many reasons we have a low cost of living….Texas never has been much of a Union state… I could care less what Senile Joey & Cackling Kamala think or do, between them you couldn't find 2 working brain cells..….and I believe & HOPE mike55 is right…I cant even imagine if that mentally ignorant Cackling "Community" Harris was to pull off a win…OMG…

DeNiro is a waste of skin. Takes his bodyguards to protest Trump. Disgusting excuse for a human being.

    Crippple or *?

If you spell it correctly it gets poofed. Sheesh!

What if we were talking about a crippled deer and how best to track it?

$40 an hour huh? I'd strike, too. Burger flippers here makes $20 and these days I make a little more than they do after 20 years at this job. At least I don't have their overhead and I'm close to a toilet at my job.

montanajoe - I think Timmy from South Park complained.

I think the auto censor went full r*tard. It's A.I. uprising and I caused it. I hope I'll see the terminator T-X model Kristanna Loken and not Summer Glau (too skinny).

I wish I ever made $39 an hour driving the big rig, five years ago. Paid 44 cents per mile, while ripping down I-10 west of Houston I made $27 an hour. Parking at a warehouse in Laredo, backing to the dock, getting unloaded and rolling out, I was working for those 3 hours but was paid Zero. Stayed on the road for 14 days and then home for two.

This union guy squawks about how important dock workers are, if anything truck drivers are more important. I'm fresh out of sympathy for "underpaid" dock workers.
