A little hiking, a little fishing..............and then it got dark !
I was out and about late afternoon today. Decided to hike out to a small conservation lake for a look around and to wet a line. It was nice, the temp had dropped into the low 70's when I arrived.
It was a tough bite tonight. 3 bites, 3 bass. Nothing of any size but fun. In another few weeks, all the lily pads will finally detach and then I can fish the stems. Usually some great buzz bait action once that happens.
Funny thing tonight. The weather has been pretty warm the last several days with highs in the 80's. My mind was thinking early September, not almost November. The light was about gone as I was still 3/4 of a mile down the trail through the woods back to my car. I do enjoy a walk in the woods, but I like to be able to see where I am going too !!!
I did catch a couple nice sunset pics on the way out….. Anyone else enjoy fall fishing ??

Very nice
I know you are armed. Flashlights come in handy. Won't tell you what to do, I always prepare for the worst.
Great evening
I am Envious for sure
Great pics and sounds like a fun time. But yeah, it gets dark quickly in the timber when the light starts to fade.
I had my fishing pack with me. Included in it was a flashlight, water, knife, power supply, food, rope, first aide kit and a fire starting kit….. I think I was well covered….
I did use the flashlight at the point I needed it
Nice pic. Fall fishing is a great time to be out. Wading a trout stream in the mountains with all the beautiful leaf color is something special.
