OK, Good deal since I only have half a mind.
How about a little patience? You asked about a Medicare yearly checkup, those that have Medicare may have them scheduled other times during the year than you and right now it is open enrollment time and I have to figure out what plan to go with since the one I got for the first time this year has notified me it will not be available for next year, also it is Monday which is often a slow day in the forums. I think you gave up to easy on your question. But that is just my opinion….
No patience anymore , I am old, not much time left, gotta keep moving !!!😉 Yes I know, I am a little quick to pull the plug, I will do better next time !
LOL Frank you made me laugh with your response, yes we are getting older and patience is a problem at times, we are very close in age and so I feel ya, but we have some members even older that take time to decide on their answers.. I was also very interested in the comments that your post might have generated which is why I responded the way I did. I have only been on Medicare for under a year and don't even have a primary care Medicare doc to do a "yearly" checkup yet, My PC is still a VA guy and only a PA so still learning all about what we get with Medicare and what not… Anyways I just thought you needed to wait a little longer to maybe get some replies… Maybe you should have posted a picture with your post, we all enjoy your photos! 😂 and they definitely get responses.
Can we restore original post?, @William81
Late to the dance again.
...and the wallflower is the only girl left.
That's what I tell my wife but it never works out for me
Some better than no flower at all.🙂
OK….. here is the basic original post…..
I had my yearly Medicare check up today. The paperwork for Medicare was quite invasive IMHO. Things went well overall, waiting for labs in a few days. The good news is I actually like my doctor and trust his judgement. Anyone else been experiencing the Joy of the yearly Medicare Appt. ? (I think the actual post was a little bit snarkier)
I find my hc providers questions both invasive amd paternalistic ( do you feel safe at home?) I just say I am not comfortable with these questions, they have nothing to do with the reason I am here today, let's move on.
I guess He Dog has spoken ! 😉
The first year they told me to remember 3 words and they would ask me to repeat them back later. Each year since, I start out with those same 3 words (orange, sunset & chair.) They don't think it's funny, but it is funny since they don't ask me any more of those stupid questions.
I have never had one
Maybe I am a lost cause or not on the list
I have sometimes worried a bit about the thoroughness of my annual physicals with the VA. I've been with them for nearly 25 years and have yet to pull my pants down. 🤔
On the other hand, it seems that all the tests done through the blood work and urinalysis have added several prescriptions they said were needed.
They do waste a lot of time with questions that have nothing to do with why I am there, One recent visit they asked if I ever felt threatened or anxious and I responded, well these questions are starting to bother me…
appt. coming in January
