My last day working for someone else is in the books. Officially retired from Brembo today. Looking forward to working for my new boss, me.
I am going to putter about the garage, make some knives, do some small engine work and relax, but all of the above will only happen if the weather is too bad to fish.

Good for you, Congratulations
I predict you will love it.
Congrats! That’s fantastic.
Not me. I've retired TWICE and always looking for something to do on the farm. Finished the last of the soybean harvest yesterday and well into building a handicap ramp so Grouch Attack doesn't have to heft her bulk up two steps to reach the garage.🙃
Good deal! Don
Swell, enjoy!
Congratulations. Retirement is the best job you’ll ever have.
Congrats on retirement. Sounds like you have a good plan. May you enjoy it and may there be plenty of fish to catch in your future
Hope you don't find yourself to busy to just putter.
I hope you are better at than me. This house is almost done. Been working with my banker pay this off buy another to tear into.
Retirement is not all it is cracked up to be. You're gonna miss that job.
Since I retired I've been so busy I don't know how I ever made it to work.
Congratulations. Like Mobuck, I retired twice then like a dummy I formed a S-Corp and did consulting work. My loving wife says that there is something wrong with me. She may be correct, but it's got nothing to do with my love for what I do.
14 1/2 years and counting for me. Sure glad we planned ahead when I was young. Life is what you make of it, enjoy.
Congratulations !!! Beware of the folks that start the conversation with…. Since you are retired, I figured you had nothing better to do……………..
Almost 11 years for me… The key to enjoying retirement is having a reason to get up and get going everyday.
It might be chores or it might be fishing. Find new things to enjoy and also do the things you have always liked to do. Keep yourself in the best physical shape you can.
Do activities with other folks. Find ways to continue to use your talents and gifts. Serve others in some way where your focus is not only on yourself.
Finally, get up everyday and do the best you can with the abilities you still have……
What Frank said ^ I'm not following his advise but would probably be happier if I did… congratulations on retirement.
Here's hoping for your continued good health and plenty of interesting projects.
That is awesome!!! Congratulations!
Forty nine percent of the time I wish I was driving my 18-wheeler into El Paso Texas.
Fifty one percent of the time I'm glad I'm not driving any more.
Congratulations 🎉

After a year, you will wonder how you ever had time to go to work in the first place. 😁
Congratulations and enjoy.
Just remember, start out slow and then taper off.
Congratulations on your retirement. Mine was a forced retirement. I'm always busy now. You will enjoy your time.
I'm just glad I'm not in El Paso. I miss my 1693 though….
My last retirement from firefighting and construction ,was forced on me by my health. I hate not having things to do .
Yeah, I bet you do!
I retired in 2000. Now I just do what I want and put off what I don't want to do until I feel like doing it. By the way, I turned 76 yesterday.
Happy Birthday
How'd the first day go for you? Think this will be for you? Best wishes. @Gregor62
Very nice, thank you for asking.
