All I know is that if you get even the slightest bend in one they don’t work very smooth. 🤨
That was my experience too….. I got a couple of years use out of it…
I have one and no problems so far.
I don't think you can take them apart. Any grease or oil on it?
'Mono-pods' don't help me much. I'd rather use a chest height walking stick.
never understood the "shooting sticks" I could always find a tree or fencepost or if nothing else sit down and use a knee, one less thing to drag around while hunting……..
I generally hunt in a simple ground blind. One of the supports that holds it up is a mono-pod. This has worked well for me over the years including using a crossbow, rifle or handgun….
From my high school shooting team days, I gained experience using a target sling.
Some years later, while gaining my own shooting irons, I invested in Brownell's Latigo slings...…and their proper use.
I think I still have all four, that I've ever bought.......…and well worn.
The short one is AWESOME for turkey hunting. Minimal movement is required and easy to swing around or readjust.
bought one, tried it once, just once. Did not like it at all.

+10….
I thought everybody just used the side window of the truck, after all it is adjustable. Don

Just make sure your front sling swivel isn't too close to that window if you're shooting something that kicks. Yessir, I watched a guy knock a big chunk out of his drivers side window when this happened.😮
I got the basic Pole Cat a while ago. All the sections will come apart. You'll have to sit there spinning the pole. Only thing I don't like is the "V" (rifle rest) is wobbly and there is no wat to fix that.
