I remember watching him race at Martinsville in 1968. He drove a '66 Chevelle against the factory drivers, and held his own. After the race, I went down into the pits and Bobby and Red Farmer were sitting on the back of their truck drinking a Miller beer. Bobby later won a championship with Miller as his sponsor.
RIP, Bobby.

He and a few other drivers use to hang around a shop I worked at back in the late 70s and early 80s.Bobby was a good guy.
Nothing like the old days of Nascar and the drivers . Stretching the rules to the breaking point , rubbing is racing
A lot of great men with talent and no fear and few safety features
RIP Bobby,
thank you for years of entertaining the rest of us
Absolutely!! Rest in peace Bobby. Your group is legendary, and made NASCAR.
RIP Bobby!
NASCAR will never again be what it once was.
