Walmart Clearance Score!!
Strangest thing…..walking through my local Walmart and decided to check the clearance aisle. It's packed full of the regular useless junk, but all of a sudden, a box with a distinctive shape we would all recognize catches my eye. Bear in mind, this Walmart sells no guns, no hunting stuff, none of it…..but for some reason, in the middle of the clearance aisle are two of these:
Traditions Pursuit XT Muzzleloaders. Only difference from above is that they were in "Burnt Bronze" Cerakote. Clearance price $198. While it wouldn't have been my first choice, I wasn't going to pass up that price. Whew boy! The thing is light, though. Not sure I'll be throwing 150 grains in it right off the bat.
As much as I HATE Walmart…..it's occasionally worth the trip.

Sounds like a good buy…. Look forward to a range report..😀
Someday……..if I ever get out of this forsaken coastal urban wasteland and get back to Appalachia where I belong. 😥 Approximately 1 year, 7 months, and 7 days to go…..and I am definitely counting!
At that price, did you buy both?
There was actually 5 (3 in the back too). I sure thought about getting a couple, but I’ve done that too many times and never end up selling the extras. Figured I’d just keep it simple and leave them for someone else to get a deal.
Rats….. now you’ve got me second-guessing that choice.
nice! I like burnt bronze it’s different
HMMM, I've not seen any sort of 'gun' in Walmart that wasn't caged and locked up like a man eating tiger.
Yea, it was the weirdest thing. This is the same Walmart where they previously tried to escort me to the door for a 2-inch pocket knife purchase.
Reminds me of a few years back my son calls an asks if i could use any 22 short.
It was in the Clearance aisle of Walmart, not Sporting goods section. He said it was .99 cents a box.
Yep, told hm to buy it, He dropped it off, Wow, was .99 for 500 rds. x 5 Made out great there.
I wandered down the clearance aisle back in the summer and discovered a stack of Harris bipods marked at $35/per. I ended up buying 9. I sold a couple, gifted a couple, and traded 2 for ammo. There is a gun show here in a couple of weeks. Going to take the rest to see what I can do with them.
