If you're talking about American citizens that may have a different opinion, no matter how misinformed it may be, than you then, of course, they should be persecuted, prosecuted, jailed, and/or executed. We don't want to support tolerance and legitimate discourse, do we? Why try to discuss with and educate these people?

Hell no, this is America, differing opinions on public policy and the constitution are welcome at my table. The idea is to educate them not label them as traitors.

Perhaps you oh so ready to 'forgive and forget' types ought to RE-READ the orginal post.

You know..all you SMART guys...that pretend to be solid citizens.

The OP was "TRY TO DISARM US"....

If idiots want to TALK about more gun control...FINE...but the instant they get into office and pass bills doing so..they have crapped on their oath of office.
Naturally, some people find that perfectly all right...since it fits quite well their OWN warped mentality...

Key board commandos, Balderdash and bravado.

For the sake of clarity there needs to be a bit more to the question. Much as our constitution, as well written is it is leaves some issues open to question, so does the OP.

"Those who try to disarm us"; who is those?

Is it the political hacks, or the sworn officers doing a job enforcing the law?? This very issue has been rehashed ad nauseam. It would seem the political arm would indeed be traitors and the enforcement side of the coin not falling into the literal definition of a traitor.

    Hope that helps ya!

Not at all, just sick of hearing people using words too big for them to comprehend. Dealing with emotional issues with hatred rather than using powers granted to them by God above, the most important being reasoning. Treason is one hell of serious a charge, you better understand what it means before asking if someone is guilty of it.

    TREASON:
The Constitution of the United States, Art. III, defines treason against the United States to consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid or comfort. This offence is punished with death. By the same article of the Constitution, no person shall be convicted of treason, unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.

Disarming you might be un-constitutional as hell but it falls far short of levying war or giving aid to the enemies of the USA. The right to keep and bear arms is an inalienable right, not granted by man, nor removable by man, it is an individual right codified in the constitution.

    Hope that helps! [:)]

Bruce, wouldn't disarming the citizens, as related to the spirit of the 2nd ammendment, be the start of levying war on those citizens??? After all, once they are disarmed, they can be forced to do anything the armed wish them to. That is an interpretatory area, but one that needs looking at.

I say anyone in govt or law enforcement who gives that order, or follows that order, is guilty of treason as the 2nd ammendment lays out the RIGHTS of the american citizen. If they feel the need to disarm the citizens, then WHY exactly do they feel that need[?] If they are working FOR THE PEOPLE, they have nothing to fear. Now, if their inept policies in punishing criminals allow those same people to get out in no time at all, and re-aquire firearms to commit more crimes, then that responsibility lies squarely on THEIR shoulders, not ours. Politicians passing such anti-gun laws such as mandatory gun confiscation would be treason against the american people. And those, whether they be law inforcement or military would be implementing a war upon the american citizens for exercising there inalienable rights from god and by our constitution the right to defend ourselves and the right to bear arms guaranteed by the 2nd amendment![;)]

I expect that the folks that don't see those actions as treasonous are gun controllers, pure and simple.

What else would you expect from them, anyway...except a spirited defense for the powers that intend grabbing the weapons , and hatred directed towards those that might resist ?

No insult intended at all. Treason is a defined crime, I posted the constitutional definition of treason. Your question does not fall under that definition of treason. Obama on the other hand, aiding our enemy by giving our troops medals for not shooting them comes close to treason in my book.

Treason is an act against our nation. Trying to disarm the populace is a crime against "We the People"; it is by definition the reason we have the second Amendment, to prevent tyranny in Government! The funny thing is that it is incumbent upon the individual, at that point, the point where the law of the land breaches inalienable rights, that breach give free men the moral right to rebel and overthrow the government.

The political scum that passed such laws should be jailed for breach of oath and malfeasance in office. Or, if lawful, hung from the nearest oak tree. [:D]

That is the way I see it.

An enemy to America would be any and all trying to destroy America. Right? so, if a conventional enemy crossed our borders, armed, and started kiling American citizens, then that is an act of war against the US. Right? What aboout destroying American from within? Is it any different just because the chosen weapon is a penstroke rather tha a gun? If the Constitution must be upheld and defended (I took and oath to defend the Us Constitution against ALL ENEMIES FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC. So, if we believe that the enemy is not at the gates, but rather, firmly ensconced in a position of power, is it any different?

If Amendment II were abrogated and confiscations were ordered, those who make the choice to participate in that confiscation become enemies at that point, to many people in this nation.

What do you think will happen when they come to a constitutionalists home to confiscate arms?

Oh, I forgot....nobody will do anything at all and they will roll-over and concede liberties teeth. At least that is what you would likely do, so you judge others by that measure.

A scant measure it seems to be, I must add.

Now i'll say this your skating on thin ice with alot of people, and it goes without saying i'm within my rights, but the use of deadly force to protect and serve? Let's say porn's the potential killer, and defending your right to view it is the question??? It goes without saying to prevent an assault is one solution, but to take verbale abuse to acusations of molestation, and rape... all for nothing!

After, twenty year of lackluster success i've manage to put together a radio set that get's my head out a tribute to life as you know it, and wouldn't hurt you to learn a few new tricks ether.
